"It is not the most intellectual of the species that survives; it is not the strongest that survives; but the species that survives is the one that is able to adapt to and to adjust best to the changing environment in which it finds itself." ~ Charles Darwin
Welcome back after a little break from everything that seems normal, to a new normal for this wheeling season.
This run announcement has many layers of mechanics and challenges that have been carefully reviewed again and again throughout the board of directors and many members’ feedback. We have reached a consensus and are looking forward to a safe and fun event.
This is a no frills camping and wheeling trip. Trails are on the property, food is on your own, no tee shirts and no charge. The club has no plans to provide gear for cooking this time.
ALL ATTENDEES MUST REMOVE ALL OF THEIR OWN GARBAGE. PACK IN, PACK OUT. BRING YOUR OWN GARBAGE BAGS.
We are moving forward with this event and we need everyone’s cooperation or it may jeopardize our future events. This one is especially tricky because of the campfire and other traditions.
Important changes for required safety equipment:
Here’s the deal - we provide a service that is a privilege. What we’re asking is very easy to do. If you don’t like it you do not have to attend. If you come, but this simple safety measure is ignored, you will be asked to leave. We will cancel the event if needed and everyone goes home. Don’t be that guy.
IF YOU CANNOT WEAR A MASK BECAUSE OF A DISABILITY, YOU MUST WEAR A FACE SHIELD.
These measures are effective when the whole team plays together in slowing the spread and consequences of the virus, especially among our members.
Also, as much as we all have looked forward to this weekend of wheeling and camping and that fire pit - we have made necessary changes for safety.
Space is limited to 9 rigs and the members and their guests. This does not include any directors or officers (we expect 1 or 2).
Ticket 1: Saturday
Ticket 2: Saturday night camping
Ticket 3: Sunday
Ticket 4: Sunday Night Camping
To prevent crowding, I know of a few areas accessible for weekend camping that people will enjoy. Several people have made requests for different kinds of accommodations and I believe that we can handle these requests. I will email each person that gets a camping ticket. I can honor Bob’s cabin request, Pat and Tyler with their trailer set ups and Dan’s new slide in camper.

This announcement is late. Thank you for your patience. To help ensure everyone has received notice of the event, and due to the limited space, I am adding a delay to the ticket availability. Tickets will be available tonight at 9 pm.
